The museum is located in the newly restored 1916 County Court House.
The east wing features a large theatrical diorama of notable individuals from all walks of Palm Beach County life. Kiosks and artifacts contribute to unfolding the stories behind significant and colorful characters of the past, including Pre-Columbian inhabitants, Seminole Indians, early pioneers, and influential leaders.
The west wing focuses on the natural environment and the many communities that have contributed to its distinct identity. Features of this gallery include an interactive fiber optic map, touch-screen computers, and themed exhibits.
